В статье рассматриваются политические и экономические отношения между Азербайджаном и Британским Королевством на основе материалов прессы двух стран; исследуются основные направления деятельности British Petroleum в Азербайджане. Особое внимание уделяется вопросам «Контракт века», подписанного 20 сентября 1994 года и «Контракта нового века», подписанного 14 сентября 2017 года, обеспечивающие успешную реализацию нефтяной стратегии Азербайджана. Автор обращает внимание и на материалы некоторых печатных органов Великобритании, в том числе газеты «The Guardian», которые имеют предвзятый характер. Автор статьи на основе убедительных фактов разоблачает действия некоторых журналистов, отмечая важность журналистских ценностей, таких как непредвзятость и достоверность.
The article considers political, economic relations between Azerbaijan and the British Kingdom based on the press materials of the two countries; exploring the main directions of BP in our country. Special attention is paid to the issues of the “Contract of the Century” signed in September 1994 and the “Contract of the New Century” signed on September 14, 2017, ensuring the successful implementation of Azerbaijan’s oil strategy. The author also draws attention to the materials of some of the press organs of Great Britain, including the newspaper “The Guardian”, which are biased in nature. The author of the article, based on convincing facts, exposes the actions of such journalists.
